English in real communication
Not lessons and not exercises — real conversations in a mixed international environment where speaking English feels natural, not scary.
How the idea of an “English-speaking environment” became a summer camp in the Carpathians, where 65 people from all across Ukraine and volunteers from 11 countries came together.
The “Sunny Carpathians” camp base near Mukachevo is one of the safest regions in wartime Ukraine. Finding a place like that and bringing together 65 participants plus an international team there was the main challenge of the first season.
Because of the historical influence of the USSR, access to quality English education in Ukraine was limited. Even after independence, many schools did not provide the level needed for real-life communication. Generations of Ukrainians grew up without confidence in speaking English.
In recent years—especially since the start of the war—the importance of English has grown sharply. Many Ukrainians live abroad as refugees. Others are adapting to new realities at home.
But alongside the language barrier, another one appeared: fear of making mistakes, fear of speaking, and a cultural tendency to feel ashamed. Feel Free Camp was created to remove both.

Our idea is to create an environment where people can practice English in real conversations, not in textbook exercises. Where you can make mistakes without shame. Where you meet people from different cultures.
We chose a base in western Ukraine—near Mukachevo, in one of the safest regions of the country during wartime. Despite the difficulties, the first season turned out to be successful.
Beyond language, the camp becomes a place of encouragement, friendship, and spiritual reflection. Many participants receive genuine care and support during a difficult period of life.

These four principles are not slogans for a landing page. They show up in every day, activity, and conversation.
Not lessons and not exercises — real conversations in a mixed international environment where speaking English feels natural, not scary.
An environment where making mistakes is normal. No grades, no on-the-fly corrections, and no cultural shame. Only support and acceptance.
11 countries on the team — not marketing, but real diversity. Guests leave with friends on four continents.
We do not hide the project's Christian foundation. But we are open to everyone — without pressure, preaching, or obligations.
The camp exists as long as it is supported. A full spot costs €216. Any amount brings next summer closer.
